Symptoms & lab tests
Short guides linking common complaints to tests doctors often discuss in Pakistan. Open a symptom for context, then the "tests" page for catalog matches and indicative prices where available.
Fatigue / weakness
Tiredness has many causes—anemia, thyroid slowing, low vitamin D, or iron deficiency are common starting points your clinician may rule out with blood tests.
Frequent urination
Polyuria can reflect high blood sugar, kidney handling of fluid, or a urinary infection. Labs help narrow the picture together with history and exam.
Hair loss
Diffuse shedding is often multifactorial—thyroid, iron stores, nutrition (including zinc), and vitamin D are frequent lab angles alongside clinical assessment.
Yellow eyes / jaundice
Bilirubin rises when the liver is inflamed, bile ducts are blocked, or red cells break down faster. Urgent review is important when jaundice is new or worsening.
Joint pain
Inflammatory arthritis, crystal disease, and mechanical causes overlap. Labs support—not replace—exam and sometimes imaging.
Weight gain
New weight change can relate to thyroid, glucose/insulin patterns, stress hormones, and many non-lab factors. Your doctor selects tests based on the full story.
