A complete blood count (CBC) measures red cells, white cells, haemoglobin, haematocrit, and platelets in one venous sample. Doctors order it for fatigue, fever, bruising, before surgery, or to follow anaemia, infection, and many chronic medicines. Results usually return the same day at major labs in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.

No fasting is required for a standard CBC. Drink water as usual and tell the phlebotomist if you are on blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder. A morning slot is fine if your doctor also wants fasting glucose or lipids drawn in the same visit.
